  • PHILIP TO SPEAK TO THE ASSOCIATION OF PIANO TEACHERS OF LONG ISLAND! On January 18, 2017, Philip will be presenting a lecture-recital to the Association of Piano Teachers of Long Island in Garden City on the subject of contemporary piano music and ways it can be utilized in order to inspire and motivate young music students. Included in the program will be works by Philip Martin, John Musto, William Bolcom and Lowell Liebermann.

  • CORIGLIANO PIANO CONCERTO IN COLORADO! On September 24, 2016, Philip will join the Greeley Philharmonic and Maestro Glen Cortese in a performance of Academy Award-winning composer John Corigliano`s Piano Concerto at the Union Colony Civic Center in Greeley, Colorado.  During his visit, Philip will visit the University of Northern Colorado to give a masterclass there.
  • PHILIP TO TOUR ARGENTINA WITH THE NEW DOCTA FESTIVAL! From September 4-16, 2016, Philip will be visiting South America for the first time as guest artist for the New Docta International Music Festival in Argentina.  This will include chamber and solo performances and masterclasses in Córdoba and Buenos Aires, as well as a number of outreach events in support of children from under-privileged schools and hospitals.
  • PHILIP NAMED `ASSOCIATE` OF THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC! Philip has been elected an Associate of London`s Royal Academy of Music in the institution`s Honours List for 2016.  This is an award given to former students that have gone on to `make a significant contribution to the music profession`.
  • LINCOLN CENTER RECITAL WITH VIOLINIST JACK LIEBECK! On February 7, 2016, Philip will be joining British violinist Jack Liebeck for a recital of Frank Bridge and Brahms at Lincoln Center`s Walter Reade Theater in New York.

  • LOS ANGELES VISIT! From Nov 1-3, 2015, Philip will be in the Los Angeles area to act as a judge for the Conejo Valley Music Teachers Association Contemporary Festival Competition and to give a masterclass for piano students at California State University, Northridge.

  • PHILIP FEATURED AT LONG ISLAND MOZART FESTIVAL 2014!   • BROOKLYN LIBRARY CONCERT SERIES! On Sunday October 20, Philip will be performing alongside tenor Robert White, violinist Susie Park and cellist Adrian Daurov as part of the chamber music series at the Dweck Center, Brooklyn Public Library. The program will include chamber and solo works by Schubert, Beethoven and Rachmaninov, as well as Beethoven's own arrangements for piano trio and voice of folk songs from Ireland and Scotland!

  • WQXR BEETHOVEN MARATHON! On November 20 2011, Philip will be taking part in the WQXR Beethoven Marathon at Manhattan's Greene Space, with all 32 of the great composer's piano sonatas being performed in one day by a host of renowned pianists.   • Philip to perform at the International Classical Music Awards 2011! Philip will be appearing at the gala concert of the International Classical Music Awards 2011 in Tampere, Finland on April 6th 2011. He will join the Tampere Philharmonic and conductor Hannu Lintu in a performance of Prokofiev's 1st Piano Concerto. The concert will be broadcast on Finnish Radio and across the European Union.   • Bargemusic Recitals! Philip will be performing back-to-back solo recitals at Bargemusic in Brooklyn, NY during February 2010. On February 24, he will be presenting a program entitled "Late Chopin, Early Scriabin", and on February 25 will be performing a program of Schubert, Schubert/Liszt and Liszt, including the great B Minor Sonata.   • Mostly "Here and Now" recital! Philip will be appearing in recital at Bargemusic in Brooklyn, NY on September 17 2010 as part of the Mostly "Here and Now" series.   • Philip to make Chandos debut! During August 2010, Philip will be recording a solo disc for the Chandos label focussing on the repertoire of the 'Mighty Five' group of Russian composers. The repertoire will include Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Balakirev's Islamey, and a group of rarely performed works of Rimsky-Korsakov, Borodin, and César Cui.   • handel_image Philip's first CD for Naxos , Volume 1 in a two-disc set of the Eight Great Keyboard Suites of Handel, is in post-production and due for release in March 2010. The disc was recorded in Birmingham's Symphony Hall with Producer/Engineer Jonathan Allen and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. The recording was generously supported by Birmingham City Council . Philip will be giving a number of recitals during 2010 based around the disc's program, including at venues in New York, Birmingham and London. Plans are underway for the recording of the second disc during August 2009.
  • From June 17 through June 21, 2009, Philip will appear as a guest artist at the Texas Conservatory for Young Artists in Plano, Texas, where he will give a recital along with two masterclasses. In doing so, he joins an illustrious list of past guest artists that includes Stephen Hough, Leon Fleisher and Marc Andre-Hamelin. For full details of the event, click here.
  • Philip will be recording two solo discs for Naxos records. Recording sessions will take place at Birmingham's Symphony Hall during the summer, with the first disc due for release in 2009. Check back here soon for more details.
  • On August 10th, 2008, Philip will join Soprano Amy Burton for a performance at the Bard Music Festival in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. This will be his first appearance at the festival.
  • In January 2008, The New Year will mark Mr. Fisher's first appearance in his home city of Birmingham for a number of years, as a guest artist on the recital series at the Birmingham Conservatoire's Adrian Boult Hall. The performance will take place on January 15, and the program will include Bach's third English Suite, and Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit.
  • Mr. Fisher recently joined violinist Augustin Hadelich for two very successful US performances. On November 16, 2007, the duo appeared at the German Ambassador's residence in Washington DC, as part of the ‘Embassy Series,' and just two days later, they performed on Lincoln Center's 'Great Performers' series at the Walter Reade Theater in New York.   • In November 2007, Mr. Fisher presented a short solo recital of Bach, Chopin and Prokofiev at the home of Bob and Penny Young in New Canaan, Connecticut. This was Philip's third appearance at their home, and he remains extremely grateful for their friendship and support.
